Research Experience:
Yan Dong was born in Henan Province, China in 1973. She received the Ph.D in School of Psychology from University of Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China, in June 2007, majoring in Education Technology. She was a visiting scholar in Institute of Learning and Instruction from University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia from 2004.7 to 2004.11.
From 1998 to 2000, she was a Research Assistant with the Department of Electronic at Beijing Normal University, and since 2001, she has been an advanced lecturer. By 2006 she has been an associate professor working both with the Lab of Web Education and the School of Information Science. By 2015 she has been a professor working in Faculty of Education, Beijing Normal University. She is the author of 40 articles, and the host of 15 projects 3 of which are key at ministerial and provincial-level funding. Her research interests include teachers’ TPACK knowledge, 21st-century learning, technology-enhanced learning and STEM project-based learning.
Pro. Dong’s awards and honors include the Excellent Paper Award (East China Normal University, 2017), and the academic consultant of Educational Informationization, Henan Province. She is the membership of Society of International Chinese Educational Technology (SICET), and the chairman in the workshop section of Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education 2017.
